Biodiversity Project bases all strategies and messages on public opinion research and audience analysis so we always reach the right audience.

Communicating about water in the water-rich Midwest

Because we are blessed with abundant water resources, municipalities and environmental coalitions often struggle when creating and implementing behavior change campaigns to reduce water use and pollution. To truly inspire lasting changes, communicators must connect water messages to the values that audiences already hold dear.

Organizations and advocates work hard, every day, to solve the nation's environmental problems. But no single person or organization can change the world on their own. It takes an informed and engaged public to get things done.

OUR MISSION

Biodiversity Project researches, designs, implements and evaluates communication and education strategies to connect existing personal values to environmental causes. Our work motivates targeted audiences—like homeowners, business owners and elected officials—to value the role healthy ecosystems play in sustaining quality of life and to take action to protect and restore Earth's natural resources. We partner with other nonprofit organizations, coalitions and agencies to improve their internal and external communications to advance their environmental goals.

Building the communications capacity of environmental groups is a critical component of our work. We increase individual and coalition-wide communications capacity through half or full day workshops and trainings, project-based consulting hours and communications audits.
